This shop has 5 stars for a reason! The team helped me defer brakes after the brake sensor tripped on my BMW 135i project. I’ve been going around to all the local European mechanics to see who was most trustworthy. I did my VANOS at certain shop with initials MW just 200 miles before where they urged me to do my front brakes and pointed to the tripped sensor as evidence. The team at Eastside actually checked my brake depth and replaced the tripped sensor at a fraction of the cost while getting my struts done. Overall great communication, earning trust, and good value!

Scheduling our 2018 A4 for a front brake refresh was quick and easy at Eastside Bavarian autoworks. The job was completed on-time and at a fair cost…more than a budget shop but less than a dealership, with quality far exceeding budget shops and equal to that of a dealership. So if you want dealership quality work done at near-budget shop prices, then Eastside Bavarian is an excellent option.

Outstanding service fixing one of those nagging “older BMW” leaks, in this case the pinion seal on my M6. Sounds expensive, right? Well a certain dealership felt it sounded 3Xs as expensive as Eastside Bavarian did, so I’m glad I went here instead! Steady updates, comfortable waiting room with good WiFi, commitment to OEM parts, and transparent communication throughout the entire process. Great to have such an option local, and worth the drive for specialty work. Book, maintain and repair with confidence!

had a few repairs done there several years back. they put the clutch and pilot bearing in wrong on my e46, also replaced the cooling system and the water pump was leaking after i drove the car across country.

I’ve been taking my 2011 MINI Countryman to Eastside Bavararian since it was out of warranty. In other words, a looong time! It keeps on running just like new thanks to these guys! Are they super cheap? No, but would you take your baby to the cheapest pediatrician- or the BEST? EB is the BEST!

This is hard to write because I really do want to like this team. Ken and the customer service team were thoughtful and communicative. When it came to the shop Ken advised on a different service that would address certain things that would be better for my vehicle. When it came to the service itself the team was good. Provided the standard level of service and advised me on 3 additional things to be addressed. Then a fuel injector was advised to be changed due to carbon and a misfire. This made sense and gave the green light to complete. The injector took two days to get there and was changed. Then I was told that when putting everything back together the team could not figure out what was wrong with an error code returned from the computer. They held my car over the weekend and the Audi tech did not return till Tuesday. So at this point I have not had my car for over a week. When the tech returned Ken informed me they still could not figure what was wrong and they would need to “explore” in an attempt to locate the issue. This would have cost me another 8hrs and $1600 that couldn’t guarantee a solution. At this point I was $3800 in the hole and rejected the additional wrench hour cost. Conclusion is that it took over a week and my check engine light is still on showing an error with my auto stop/start and it runs rougher than when it went in. So I will be taking it into the dealership to solve the problem. Again, I wanted to like this team as I have lived in Issaquah my entire life. But besides the first level services I don’t have faith they’re a better cost than a dealership.

Your feedback means a lot to us, and we sincerely regret that we couldn't provide the resolution you were hoping for during this visit. To provide some context, most engine misfires are resolved by the PCV system and injector repairs performed during your stay. When those standard steps did not clear the code, it indicated that your vehicle was facing a much more complex internal or 'abnormal' issue. Modern direct-injection engines are incredibly sophisticated. With countless potential causes for a misfire, we must proceed strictly based on the data gathered. Our technicians performed extensive diagnostic testing including component swapping, compression and leak-down tests, and borescope inspection but these did not yield an obvious external path to repair. As Ken mentioned, once standard diagnostics are exhausted, the only remaining step is extensive disassembly to physically inspect the intake valves and internal components. We only recommend this level of 'exploration' when it is the only remaining path to a definitive fix. We truly wish the solution had been more straightforward, as we never like to see a valued customer leave with unresolved issues. We appreciate your feedback and hope the dealership is able to provide a swift resolution. -Eastside Bavarian

The Only Shop I Trust with my BMW in PNW I’ve been coming here since my CPO warranty expired for everything from oil changes to brakes. They offer honest, reasonable prices and top-class digital service. They truly saved my engine when Ryan showed me microscopic proof of timing chain wear before replacing it. Recently, I made a mistake on a DIY job that caused a P0171 lean code. I was stressed that I’d caused a major disaster, but Chris pinpointed a snapped Turbo Inlet Pipe I completely missed and fixed it for a fair price. A special shoutout to Ken, who never judges, he just makes sure you are taken care of and happy. It is a huge relief to have a shop with this much technical skill, integrity and honesty and the best in the PNW. 10/10

Had not the best experience first time but decided to come back for a second time. Completely disappointed with the service they provide. Had oil change done and no comments on my car what’s so over. What’s wrong or maybe what’s good, nothing. Only “payment please” After I got my car I checked the oil level and it was under half full. Not recommending this business what’s so ever.

Eastside Bavarian is the most ethical, professional service for my BMW's that I have ever experienced. Informed Ken (my service advisor) of driver seat vibration when braking. We both agreed the front brakes replacement should address this. The service report noted the tech drove the car BEFORE replacing the front brakes to experience this vibration - this is a small point but indicative of the level of detail and personalized service provided (and expected) at Eastside Bavarian. My 2021 X3 AWD 30i received LOF, vehicle check, front brakes, brake fluid slush, engine and cabin air filters. The detailed service report has photos of all conditions found and all items replaced, which is yet another detail that allows you to "see" the existing and corrected conditions. They even drove me home and then picked me up same-day as I live local. Eastside Bavarian creates total peace-of-mind and trust that certified techs are caring for your beloved ride.

6/2025 Update: after years of stellar service, it’s just expected that everything will be right when I take my car in to them. In the last few months, I have been chasing a crazy brake squealing noise. The reason for the update is the way the team here dealt with it. I know how this group deals with the day in and day out stuff (professionally and exceptionally), but it’s how they deal with things when it doesn’t go right that makes all the difference to me. EB, once again, showed their true colors. Just after a brake replacement is when the noise started showing up. A couple of visits and some tweaks later, it was still persistent. Ken, Ryan, Chris and Mark (co-owner) all took personal ownership of figuring out the issue and making it right. If you aren’t aware, the owners of this shop are working owners. That is, they are in the bays working on the cars making sure everything is done correctly. I’m sure there must be other shops like this, but as far as I am aware, this is the only like it on the Eastside. I have talked with a few of their techs and all of them say it’s the dream scenario. Having an owner in the trenches with you makes all the difference. I have always felt like they had the best techs before I learned about this detail, but now I know why. All in all - they did what they could before going all out and pulling everything apart. I left my car with them for a week and when I got it back, they had made it right. I know they sacrificed lots of time and materials on this for me. I never once was made to feel guilty or picky about this issue and they were clearly committed to making it right. I couldn’t be happier about the outcome or my decision to make this the only shop my car goes to. They have only further solidified their position with me and my desire to promote them. TL:DR - If you live within 30 miles and you have a BMW, Audi or Mini - you’d be silly not to come here for your services. Seriously. ——————————————— Ken is fantastic to work with. Very straightforward and clear in his approach. It feels as close to having a friend that works on your car as possible. Everyone I have dealt with on the phone and in person at Eastside Bavarian is excellent. I happily entrust my vehicle and would highly recommend to anyone that they bring their car here. P.S. - if they can’t help you for ANY reason (tinting, sound systems, tires, detailing, etc.), they also have a deep bench of other professionals to point you to. I have asked for many and each time I mention EB, they all know that Ken sent me. Why are you still reading this? Call them and schedule already!

Tired of the outrageous prices at the dealership in Seattle also once they told me that a part needed to be replaced that I already replaced kind of pissed me off so I looked for reputable BMW repair shops and found this one in Issaquah even though we had to drive a little bit out of the way I think it was worth it.the shop's very clean they are professional and fixed exactly what was wrong with the car. overall good experience

Forget about BMW dealership service centers. Bring your BMWs here. Eastside Bavarian people know the game. I was initially referred by the other shop I used to go. They were super honest. Told me it is something they can’t do, so they referred me to Eastside Bavarian. I’v heard good things about them but never had a chance to bring my car in. Right from the start I knew I made an excellent choice. Their engagement via text system was outstanding. Ken at the shop was nothing but professional and full of knowledge. They even have a locked gate to keep your cars safe overnight. They set up eta for my parts to arrive, transparent throughout the repair process by updating the status and overall costs. What I was amazed about them the most was their tracking system. They sent pictures and videos with detailed notes during the entire time to make sure I understand exact condition of my car. Will be back for sure. Thank you guys!

These guys are always a great complement to the DIY car guy like me. They do the stuff I need them to do because I’m either too busy or the work is beyond my skill, but they also recognize that I like to do my own maintenance where possible, and support me with recommendations on timing, cost, parts, etc. And as a bonus - they vacuum my car out and don’t look at me sideways like I don’t do my own car cleaning. It’s just sometimes - I can’t get it to before they do! No funny business - just trustworthy guys and gals, honest thoughtful quotes, great timely work, and fair prices. Do I wish it were cheaper? Of course! I drive a BMW and an Audi - service is always more than I want to pay! But would I take my German cars anywhere else? Not a chance! Thanks Eastside Bavarian!

Don’t bother if you have an older BMW with “high mileage”. I was looking for a closer shop to work on my 2001 740i but they only want newer stuff. At least post this on your site to save people the hassle.

Aaron: I would like to address your concern with us not working on older cars. We work on many older and vintage cars, many some 30-40 years old and have for many years (some of them a good part of their life, and we are one of the few independent shops that will work on the E30-E39’s or even older as we do). These cars will have some 150K-300K+ miles on them, the difference is that we have cared for them regularly for a good part of their lives. The real issue at hand is not that of the age of the car, but that of the number of miles on the car. As a general rule, we do not take on a new car that we have never seen before when it has higher miles regardless of age. The make, the engine and the number of miles, will all be taken into consideration as to whether or not we will take on the car for service or repairs as a first time customer, and as such we do not post anything on our website (as you suggest) as it can be a case-by-case situation. In your case of the 2001 740i (not what we would consider an older or vintage car at all) it is not the age of the car but the number of miles on the car as it has some 192,000 miles on it and we have never seen it. We do care for many M62 engine cars and are aware of the issues that come with this car, but for those we still care for we have for some time and they have been in for regular service. I would also purport that we are not alone, and any of the local reputable independent shops that we would normally refer people to would be hesitant in taking on this high mileage car. If you had not ended the call abruptly we would have shared that there is a reputable repair shop in Seattle (Midnight Motorsport https://www.midnightmotorsport.com/ 206.535.6067) that may be able to take on your car. I’m adding to my last post. I have owned my car for 12 years now. It runs beautifully, I love being able to toss my keys to Dave and know that he will take wonderful care of my beautiful vintage car. They love their work and it shows in the thoughtful way they take care of their clients. I particularly like the photos of the work being done. I used to do a lot of my own repairs so it’s interesting and it is lovely to know what needs to be done next so I can budget for it, too. I cannot recommend Eastside Bavarian highly enough:)

Eastside Bavarian helped us with some 100k mileage work on an older BMW. We got a hefty quote directly from the BMW dealership and EB came in nearly half the estimate which helped us make a cost conscious decision. Ken was very helpful on the phone in scheduling the appointment. The techs team addressed the issue and even topped off our oil when we came back since we had recently completed work. That gesture is pure class. The car is driving smoothly and we have the peace of mind that the big ticket maintenance issues are resolved. I have been servicing my 2013 BMW 3 series here for 3-4 years now. They are always extremely courteous and effective with service, as well as very transparent on any expected/discovered costs and recommendations. I have had a couple minor issues over the years (non-functional headlamp after a previous "repair" by a different auto repair company, oxygen sensor issues resulting in lean mixture, steering wheel alignment, etc) and they have always been able to troubleshoot from the symptom and solve promptly while keeping me in the loop. Everything is broken down very clearly and I feel like a partner in maintaining my car, rather than just a clueless paying customer. The wait for an appointment can be a couple weeks, but I believe that is a small inconvenience for not feeling like a proverbial cow being milked for cash as fast as a company can get customers in and out of the door. Much recommended.

First time I’ve used a specialized auto shop. I have an Audi and a BMW, I brought my Audi there first to see how it would be. I have to say, the experience was the best car maintenance experience I’ve ever had. Thorough analysis and recommendations provided. Before and after photos of the repairs… very friendly staff… and easiest of all, they can text with you (and did so with me) about the status of your vehicle including a mobile friendly report. It is a little more pricey than I expected but you pay for what you get. In this case I will definitely also be bringing my BMW in once it’s due for service as well. Thank you Eastside Bavarian!

Always a great experience! Had a check engine light and they found what they thought it was - as $400+ part. After replacing it the problem persisted so they kept digging and found that a critter had chewed through some insulation and gnawed a wire. They put the old part back in and didn’t charge me for any of the labor. Will go back to have the wiring repaired. The most honest mechanic I’ve ever worked with. I live an hour away now and will continue to make the drive to have them service my bummer. Thank you again.

When I brought my car in after hours I received a text that they had received it and moved it inside. I received a text with the diagnostic results including photos. I received a detailed estimate including time required to finish the job and any further recommendations and explanations. My car was complete at on time and at the price I was quoted. Felix: We are sorry you are disappointed that your vehicle would not be ready until, at best, the end of the day. When you came in at noon, we informed you that the wait would at least be 4-5 hours. As we discussed, most cars are dropped off well before 9:30am for their appointment for the day and those cars were already in process when you arrived at noon. You suggested that a brake fluid flush is simple job that is quick; however, it is still difficult to work in a car at 12:00pm even for something like a brake fluid flush (please note that some cars with dual bleeders like most Audi S-car like yours can take 2.5 hours for a proper brake fluid flush from the time we get the car on the rack and we also perform a digital vehicle inspection along with a brake fluid flush). We can accomplish (most) repairs in the same day as the car is with us early enough to make a proper evaluation of needs. This is my 4th or 5th visit to this shop. I have 3 BMWs at home. My car this time was my 2014 335i, which needed an oil change between BMW services (I change oil every 5K miles and not every 10K). Anyways, I made my appointment, got there on time and took lees than one hour. I prefer quality over speed. I also got orientation about tires and I felt comfortable when I was suggested to get my next set of michellines at costco for better price. I will continue having my cars serviced there. One thing that is very important: this place is female friendly. There was this young lady asking for advice about service for her BMW, and I noticed 100% respect to her gender and to her basic questions. She was pleased with the treat, I could tell. I feel safe if my wife and daughter come to this place and ask for advice servicing their cars.

The final price was too much different from the initial quote and they didn't provide the estimate in writing upfront I should ask for that

Tony: I am very sorry to hear that you think the price was too much for brakes on your Q7. When you dropped the car off and we first discussed the need for the rear brakes and cabin filter, I told you it was going to be $914.38 (to which you agreed). We also discussed that if the rotors were not needed it would drop the price by some $200-$250. The good news was that the rotors did not need to be replaced and the new cost was $680.44 (and we did have to add oil as your oil was very low and you did not want an oil change although it was due too). That is $233 less than the original quote. Together we also reviewed the invoice line by line for the rear pads and sensors and compared it to the front brakes that had previously been replaced. I also did some research and so you are aware the rear brakes at the dealer (parts and labor) are some $1400.00 before tax, that is almost double what we originally quoted you for just the rear brakes.. I never take the time to write reviews and I was never asked to write this review. I am taking the time to write this because the people at Eastside Bavarian couldn’t have been more kind, professional and honest. I was recommended by a friend and then read reviews before bringing my car here. I had two previous experiences with a mobile mechanic and then BMW Northwest and was left wondering what the real issue was with my car. The moment that I brought my car into Eastside Bavarian, I knew that I was in the right place. I felt that they were honest and that is extremely hard to find when it comes to mechanics. I will never take my car anywhere else. After being so overwhelmed and upset with my two prior experiences elsewhere, I had lost hope in ever finding anyone who could help me and not put me through the ringer replacing things that weren’t actually the problem when it came to the check engine light. Please take my advice and go with these guys if you are contemplating having work done on your BMW because they definitely know their stuff.

Best experience I’ve had. Team at Eastside Bavarian does what’s asked/needed and doesn’t push anything more. My vehicle needed a brake flush in 3 months. Rather than pushing for me to get it done now, they said I should keep my eye on the notifications in the car. Highly recommend and I will continue to go back.
